Description:
This saprobic species decomposes buried wood; has a long stalk up to 150 mm. without a ring and no veil. That grows into a long, deeply rooted tap root that continues underground up to 200 mm. It has a shiny cap when young, that's 30-50 mm in diameter, yellow or olive-brown, with widely spaced white gills.
