A viscid, yellow-brown to avellanous Inocybe with an innately fibrillose cap, white to brownish pruinose stipe, and wart-knobbed spores. Found in Nothofagus forests of New Zealand.

Pileus: Up to 35 mm diam. Hemispherical when young to campanulate or convex with broad umbo, sometimes expanded with depressed centre. Yellowish-brown, beige, avellanous. Innately fibrillose, viscid when wet. Veil remnants absent.
Lamellae: Adnexed to subfree, crowded. Whitish to chocolate-brown to tobacco-brown, finally dark brown in old specimens. Edge white, fimbriate.
Stipe: 20-75 x 3-6 mm, cylindrical; base rarely slightly swollen. Whitish to brownish to dark brown with age. Entire length pruinose. Dry, solid. Cortina absent. Occurs single or in groups.
Context: whitish-yellowish, reddish-brown in upper stipe.
Odour/tast: Not distinctive
