A uniformly brown to fuscous, coarsely scaled Inosperma with dark brown lamellae from youth, a pink-tomentose stipe base, and reniform-phaseoliform smooth spores. Distinguished by its unpleasant (non-spermatic) odour, absence of pleurocystidia, and trichodermal pileipellis.

Pileus: 15-30 mm diam. Hemispherical to convex to campanulate, margin incurved. Brown to fuscous, uniformly coloured. Dry, densely covered with concolorous erect conical persistent scales and squamules. Margin estriate. Veil remnants absent.
Lamellae: Adnate to sinuate, ventricose, crowded (L ≈ 20, l = 1-7). Dark brown from the beginning. Edge conspicuously albofimbriate.
Stipe: 30-60 x 2-3 mm, cylindrical, equal. Concolorous with pileus. Base with pink tomentum of mycelium. Covered with scattered concolorous persistent dots and squamules. Dry, solid. No cortina. Occurs single or cespitose.
Context: brownish, reddening after bruising or exposure
Odour/tast: unpleasant, not spermatic.
